Spelling Bee: 14 parish champs vie for 2016 title

The Gleaner’s Children’s Own Spelling Bee is now underway at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel. 

Fourteen parish champions from across Jamaica are facing off in the finals.

The students who emerged as winners from the parish finals of the competition are vying for the coveted place to represent Jamaica at the 88th Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., May 29-June 1.

The 14 bees for 2016 are:
