The Jamaica Observer of 17 August 2008 quoted Michael Carr, the night of Shelly-Ann Fraser’s Beijing 100 metres gold. Carr said it was the fortieth anniversary of the year Audrey Reid entered the Girls’ school, in 1968. “Reid competed in the long jump at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and was honoured by the school this year for her achievements.” He called her “Wolmer’s first and only Olympian until now.”
