The Observer reported that the Wolmer’s fraternity honoured Chief of Defence Staff Major General Rocky Ricardo Meade at the Jamaica Pegasus — “one of its own heroes.”
Trust Chairman Milton Samuda presented a citation on Meade’s years at Wolmer’s Boys’ School and his path from the cadet corps into the Jamaica Defence Force, and a chairman’s mug inscribed with Meade’s name. Meade thanked Samuda for the “unexpected honour” and for inspiration received from him “as his head boy while at Wolmer’s.”
