The Gleaner’s Outlook of 3 May 2009 reported the WGA centenary dinner at the Jamaica Pegasus on 24 April. Eight were honoured: Norma Brown-Bell, Olga Geoghagen, Sonja Hurd, Shelly-Ann Fraser, Shirley Maynier-Burke, Hazel Richardson; Dr Barbara Lyle-Harper and Gloria Thompson posthumously.
