The Guardian recorded that Gerry Alexander “was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and educated there, at Wolmer’s boys’ school.” He later went to Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
Alexander was a West Indies Test wicket-keeper. The Daily Telegraph (15 March 2004) placed him in the line of six Test keepers from Wolmer’s, from Karl Nunes to Jeff Dujon.
