Medical student Hannah Collings-Myers was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica Kingston and St Andrew early Sunday morning at the parish grand coronation held at the Douglas Orane Auditorium at Wolmer’s Boys’ School in Kingston.
The Observer recorded that the 20-year-old University of the West Indies student, originally from Mandeville, was on Saturday night crowned the first ever Miss Universe Jamaica Kingston and St Andrew.
Representing Digita Properties, she received the crown from Miss Universe Jamaica East 2025, Troy-Ann Anderson. Medical doctor Tiyana Mowatt was named first runner-up; psychology graduate Shaniece Douglas was named second runner-up. The three advance to the national competition.
“I’m excited to take on the journey that’s ahead of me. I enjoyed working with all these girls and I’m sorry to see it come to an end,” Collings-Myers told Observer Online shortly after the coronation.
