The New York Times Corner Office of 28 August 2016 quoted Lloyd Carney, then chief executive of Brocade: “It’s still there: Wolmer’s Boys School, in Kingston. It’s almost 300 years old.”

The Observer of 22 November 2024, on the solar gift to the three schools, wrote that he “attended Wolmer’s Trust High School for Boys in the 1970s.” The Gleaner of 17 February 2015 called him a Wolmerian.
