The Guardian’s obituary of Sir Florizel Glasspole recorded that he “was educated at Wolmer’s high school for boys.” He was Governor-General of Jamaica from 1973 to 1991.
Glasspole House, the joint sixth-form block completed in 1984, is named for him. He is one of the sixteen inducted into the Hall of Fame on 2 October 2015.
