That is the Wolmer\u2019s fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JIS (2005) and the <em>Observer<\/em> (2018) name her founder of Merl Grove High School, with her father Nathaniel Speid. JIS in June 2005 said she \u201cstarted the school 80 years ago\u201d; the <em>Observer<\/em> in November 2018 called that year\u2019s founders\u2019 week the 94th anniversary. Both papers\u2019 words stand. The <em>Observer<\/em> adds that the school is owned by the Associated Gospel Assemblies. JIS records an annual Miriam Speid Scholarship in the founder\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Gleaner<\/em> (1 January 2026), in Alma Mock Yen\u2019s obituary, states that Speid was principal of Merl Grove when she hired Mock Yen, aged fourteen, after Senior Cambridge. Mock Yen taught there ten years.
