Jamaica Observer, 22 July 2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>July 22, 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KINGSTON, Jamaica \u2014 The Observer of 22 July 2018 reported that Wolmer\u2019s Boys\u2019 School was \u201cplunged into mourning late last week after the passing of its longest-serving Headmaster Eric Coleridge Barnett.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trust Chairman Milton Samuda, in a statement the paper printed, said Barnett, \u201chimself a Wolmerian, led the school at a critical time in its exceptional history and influenced an entire generation of Wolmerians.\u201d Samuda called him \u201ca historian and teacher of history,\u201d named his mother Thelma, a teacher, and his father Eric, of the Jamaican civil service, and said Barnett\u2019s teaching career had taken him to England, Scotland and Belize before \u201chis most important, longest and deeply rewarding challenge, that of headmaster of his alma mater.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamaicaobserver.com\/2018\/07\/22\/wolmers-mourns-passing-of-longest-serving-principal\/\">Jamaica Observer<\/a>, July 22, 2018.
