Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen made the announcement at King\u2019s House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parker, then a medical intern in obstetrics and gynaecology at Spanish Town Hospital, said: \u201cI am still in shock, it\u2019s an exhilarating feeling\u2026 everybody was so supportive throughout this procedure and it\u2019s been quite a journey.\u201d After a master\u2019s in neuroscience at Oxford he intended to become a neurosurgeon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/m.jamaica-gleaner.com\/news\/article.php?id=56747\">Jamaica Gleaner<\/a>, November 20, 2014.
