Jamaica Gleaner, 30 May 2004<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>May 30, 2004<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KINGSTON, Jamaica \u2014 The Gleaner of 30 May 2004 printed Edward Seaga\u2019s review of Patrick Bryan, <em>The legacy of a goldsmith: a history of Wolmer\u2019s schools, 1729\u20132003<\/em>, given at the launch of the schools\u2019 275th anniversary on 20 May 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seaga, himself a Wolmerian, wrote that Bryan \u2014 professor of history and deputy dean of humanities at the University of the West Indies, and a Wolmerian \u2014 had answered what the school had been doing across two and three-quarter centuries. The review restates John Wolmer\u2019s 1729 will, that the residue of his estate be put on interest \u201cfor the foundation of a free school,\u201d and the \u201cfairly substantial\u201d bequest of \u00a32,360.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/jamaicagleaner.com\/gleaner\/20040530\/arts\/arts4.html\">Jamaica Gleaner<\/a>, May 30, 2004.
