Photograph: Central Press\/Hulton Archive \/ The Guardian<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>May 30, 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guardian recorded that Gerry Alexander \u201cwas born in Kingston, Jamaica, and educated there, at Wolmer\u2019s boys\u2019 school.\u201d He later went to Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexander was a West Indies Test wicket-keeper.
